Airports that
were created for FS98 or FS2000, may have different field elevations than you
might expect. We have to work with the
elevation that Flight Simulator presents us with for the exact latitude – longtitude
coordinates of the field. Elevations in
red are for airports that did not exist in a version of Flight Simulator, in
which case there could be a large difference with the actual field elevation. Microsoft made an effort to get the field
elevations correct if they put an airport in a particular version. Here is a list of field elevations.
