Norfolk-Southern 9170 heading south out of Hagerstown, MD

 

Norfolk-Southern engineer climbs aboard 9123 at CSX’s Hagerstown Terminal.

New pedestrian bridge between Altoona Transportation Center and  Railroaders Memorial Museum.

 

Norfolk-Southern 3425 heads west out of Altoona with a double-stack train.

 

3425 prepares to blast out of the Gallitzin Tunnel as it crests the Alleghenies.

 

                       

NS 3425 takes a double-stack through Gallitzin.  We raced the train to Cassandra and lost.

 

The Latrobe PA Railfan enjoys the new bench provided at Cassandra Foot Bridge.

 

           

Norfolk-Southern 9161 brings a train west around Cassandra Curve.

 

                       

NS 9246 passes beneath the Cassandra foot bridge and climbs around the curve.

As NS 9246 nears Lilly, the end of his train is still coming through Cassandra Cut.
